Diagram, a venture builder, and investor has announced the initial closing of its ClimateTech Fund, securing C$50 million in commitments towards its C$60 million target.

Diagram, a venture builder, and investor has announced the initial closing of its ClimateTech Fund, securing C$50 million in commitments towards its C$60 million target.

Backed by Sagard, a global multi-strategy alternative asset manager, and co-anchored by the Quebec government through Investissement Québec, this fund plans to propel Climate Tech startups, founders and innovative solutions for the sector.

A Coalition of Investors

In a strategic collaboration, the Quebec government, Sagard, and other investors have united to catalyze the ClimateTech Fund.

Mavrik, the family office of Mark Pathy, Fondaction & Fonds québécois d’amorçage Teralys financed by CDPQ, along with several individual investors passionate about the energy transition, have contributed to the fund.

Guiding the Fund: Vital Contributors

Teralys Capital, as Canada’s largest investor specializing in innovation, had a large influence on the creation of the ClimateTech Fund.

The involvement of Teralys Capital speaks to the fund’s strategic significance in fostering innovation and pushing the boundaries of the energy transition.

The fund will be co-led by Amélie Foz-Couture and Paul Manias, both focused advocates of sustainable innovation.

Amélie, a seasoned Partner at Diagram, has been at the forefront of the firm’s venture creation activities for the past five years.

Paul, Diagram’s newest Partner, brings extensive expertise as a ClimateTech expert and has a rich background in venture capital and infrastructure investments.
