In its first year, Paystand.org—the charitable arm of the fintech company Paystand—has made significant strides in advancing financial inclusion through Bitcoin-based projects, benefiting tens of thousands across multiple countries.
As Bitcoin's value reaches new heights and gains broader political support, Paystand.org is expanding opportunities for small and medium-sized non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to apply for 2025 grants aimed at fostering financial inclusion and building sustainable Bitcoin-based circular economies.
Empowering Financial Inclusion Through Bitcoin Grants
Starting now and open through January 14, 2025, Paystand.org is inviting NGOs dedicated to advancing Bitcoin education, enhancing access to financial services, and promoting Bitcoin-based circular economies to apply for its 2025 grant program.
Eligible NGOs can apply for one-year grants ranging from $3,000 to $25,000, receiving funding along with ongoing support and guidance from Paystand.org to monitor project impact and reach.
“Bitcoin’s growing acceptance reflects a strong shift toward its place in the future of the economy. Through our 2025 grants, Paystand.org seeks to empower underbanked communities by fostering Bitcoin education and financial inclusion initiatives.” - Paystand CEO Jeremy Almond
Almond points out the organization’s focus on financial equity, highlighting that over 1.4 billion people currently lack access to basic financial systems.
The Paystand.org grant program is structured to address this need, inviting qualified organizations to join in transforming financial landscapes and opening up opportunities for underserved communities.
