Have Fun Do Good is hitting the road again this summer. Here’s your chance to join them from August 10-14 as they travel on a volunteer road trip to Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Lake Powell, and Antelope Canyon. The trip kicks off out of Phoenix, AZ and will include two volunteer projects. Check out the highlight video from last year.
Because of this trip, I got to add a little more to my basket of life, so when I have the urge to think of my everyday life as “mundane,” I can easily recall the experiences, people, challenges, and lessons I’ve gained from travel. I can use the tools in my basket to appreciate where I am at and what I am doing every single day. “Because of this trip, I got to experience all of the places which had only ever been the background image on my computer, or cool things I’d seen on Instagram. They were distant. They were “Those National Parks” . . . But at the end of it all, they became My National Parks. They are OUR National Parks. This beautiful Earth we live on is meant to be experienced by all. If you have the chance, go make it yours.”

Adam Kunes incorporates his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for service into everything he does. Adam participated in Semester at Sea, a 100-day undergraduate cruise around the world. This experience opened Adam’s eyes to the world and shaped his views on what it means to truly give to others. His participation in many service-oriented trips both during Semester at Sea and at home inspired the concept for HFDG. Adam hopes his efforts will allow others to realize the opportunities to volunteer are endless and that service can be fun.
