DoneGood’s “Shop for Good Sunday” Sale is the Sustainable Alternative to Black Friday Sales

Shop for Good Sunday Sale

Shop for Good Sunday is the day of the holiday shopping season dedicated to using our holiday shopping dollars to do good for people and the planet.

DoneGood is the founding partner of Shop for Good Sunday.  But the Day has taken on a life of its own and is celebrated by many companies, organizations, and conscious consumers (much like American Express is the founding partner of Small Business Saturday, but it’s celebrated by all sorts of people and small businesses).

Shop for Good Sunday is the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend (this year, November 28th).

The sale runs from Tuesday, 11/23 – Monday, 11/29 (Cyber Monday).

Up to 70% off over 10,000 sustainable items.

Shop for Good Sunday was founded in 2017, so the event is now its fifth year!

Just like Black Friday sales now stretch well beyond the Friday after Thanksgiving, DoneGood has been able to work with its partner brands to extend the Shop for Good Sunday sale into a week-long celebration of brands that do good for people and the planet.  Shop for Good Sunday is DoneGood’s biggest sale of the year.

DoneGood’s mission is to make it easier and more affordable for people to make purchases that make the world better.  Sales like Shop for Good Sunday help support that mission.

Americans spent over $1 Trillion on holiday gifts last year.  If even a fraction of that spending can help reduce poverty and fight climate change, the impact is huge!

And we think that gifts from smaller, independent, mission-driven brands just tend to be more unique and more meaningful than the homogenous stuff from the Big Box Corps too.

The DoneGood Approach

We scour the planet to find the brands that make the world better. Companies that create unique, high quality products, made in a way that’s good for people and the planet. To us, “good for people” means empowering workers, paying fair wages free of trafficking or child labor and unsafe working conditions. “Good for the planet” means using eco-friendly production processes, using non-toxic, organic, and/or recycled or upcycled materials, and taking other significant steps to keep our land, air and water clean.
